What is the Equalizer?

The Equalizer is a tournament legal, semi-only board for Bob Long's Intimidator series markers. This board has been approved for use by Bob Long himself, which means that by using this board you will not void the warranty of your Intimidator. This board will work in all models made prior to the "Alias" Intimidator. This upgrade board increases the rate of fire and offers numerous other features (described below).

How difficult is it to install the Equalizer?

Installation of the Equalizer is very simple, and takes just a few minutes! Just remove the grip assembly of your marker, remove the old stock circuit board, plug in your new Equalizer board, and then reassemble your grip! That's it! No soldering or any type of permanent modification is necessary! You can change back to the stock configuration at anytime.

How does it work?

The Equalizer uses highly sophisticated algorithms for calculating the optimal cycle timing. This technique makes the balls available to the marker quicker by not having the bolt in the way of the balls falling during a high rate of fire.

What other features does the Equalizer have?

The power supply used with the stock Intimidator board is not sufficient to drive the solenoid output at a high rate of fire without shoot down. The solenoid drive circuit is also not sufficient to drive the solenoid at sustained rate of fire. Both of these problems have been corrected with the Equalizer hardware.

The Equalizer has a hopper trigger output with programmable polarity (+/-). This interface is compatible with the "Intellifeed" cables, and the WarpFeed. You can select the activation time (spin duration) to be from .1 to 2 seconds per trigger pull.

There are no dip switches. All settings are stored internally. Settings can be changed at any time via the computer interface (Equalink). Settings such as the dwell, Debounce(tm), eye mode, BIP Delay(tm), rate of fire cap, eye power, and firing mode can be programmed using the trigger and LED. This allows one board to be used for all different Intimidator models, even those without the LCD display.

The computer interface allows the user to adjust all of the settings as well as give you the ability to completely reprogram the firmware on the board. Wicked Air Sportz will periodically update the firmware as we improve it, and this allows an easy method of upgrading boards without them having to be returned for the upgrade. Updates will be available via our website for downloading as they become available.

There is a game timer and shot counter. The anti-chop eye control can be programmed to be like the stock configuration, firing the gun after 3/4 of a second delay of not finding a ball in the breach. It can also be programmed to always require a ball to be in the breech before the gun will fire. The eye can also be bypassed completely if need be.

The menuing system is much easier to use than the original board, offering the ability to go forward/backward during changes, and the data is saved in EEPROM so the changes are not lost by turning off the gun.

Other features include max rate of fire info and dwell adjustable in 1/10th of a millisecond for the ultimate fine tuning, and much more!
